The vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619, could allow an attacker to execute code remotely on affected servers. Closing the site prevents exposure while the fix is applied. The PHP project has scheduled its security release for 21 October 2026 at 14:00 UTC.
