Become an IOT 2008 Student Volunteer!
We are looking for student volunteers for our conference on the "Internet of Things" which will take place in the Swissôtel in Zurich-Oerlikon from March 26-28, 2008.
Being a student volunteer is a great way to enter the research and practitioners community, meet other students in your field, and, of course, attend the "Internet of Things 2008" (IOT'08) conference. We are looking for enthusiastic, sharp, and reliable students with diverse backgrounds and from all parts of the world. So sign up as a student volunteer and help us make IOT'08 a great conference!
There are no specific entry requirements, except that you must be an undergraduate or graduate student (i.e., enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program) during the 2007-2008 academic year. A valid student identification card or a letter from your university must be presented when registering at the conference.
Accepted students are required to commit approximately one day of work, depending on the tasks they are entrusted with. Typical tasks are technical support, information desk, and registrations. In return for their help at the conference, student volunteers will be exempt from the conference registration fee. Student volunteers are responsible for their own housing, travel to and from the conference, and any meals that are not included in the conference registration.
In order to apply for the student volunteer program, please send us an e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) with the following information:
- Age and Gender
- Current Status (i.e., Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. student)
- Field of Study
- Are you a presenter of a paper and / or a workshop participant? If yes, please provide details!
Those volunteers initially selected will be notified by mid February so they can begin making any necessary arrangements. If there are more applications than available positions, a waiting list will consist of applications received by the preliminary registration deadline, but not initially selected. Applications received after the deadline will be placed at the end of the waiting list in the order in which they are received.
Please note that we cannot issue letters of invitation except for invited speakers and authors of accepted papers!!!
